DOMINION’S TRADE BALANCE FOUR MILLIONS BETTER
(From Our Resident Reporter.) WELLINGTON, To-day. V S a result of the trading year ended June 30, 1927, the Dominion is in a more favourable position than during the 1925-26 period to the extent of £4,842,250, a circumstance which the Government Statistician says is due to the curtailment of imports of £4,784,015, and in a small degree to an advance of £58,235 in exports. Exports for the period totalled £46,395,082 an excess over imports of £978,605. For the year 1925-26 exports were £46,336,847 and imports £52,157,702 an excess of imports of £5,820,855.
