CRICKET CONTROL

CLUB REPRESENTATION A CHANGE SUGGESTED The opinion that the rule regarding the appointment of the Management Committee should be altered, was expressed by Mr. X. C. Snedden, at a meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association last evening. At present the system was that each club nominated three delegates and one or the three was selected to represent the club on the Management Committee. He thought it would be a good idea to drop that system and elect the Alanagement Committee at the full meeting of delegates. Air. Snedden said he brought the matter forward with the idea that it could be discussed by the clubs before the special meeting of delegates which was to be held prior to the annual meeting. It was pointed out that one club might have more than one representative, while others clubs might not be represented at all. To this Mr. Snedden replied that it did not matter so long as the game was in the hands of the men best able to control it. After all they were not there as representatives of their clubs. Air. K. C. Beale said that in Australia the large associations had a rule whereby no club could have more than one delegate. ATr. Snedden gave notice of motion that the rules should be altered along the lines he had indicated.
