THE ETERNAL GRUMBLE

OVERCROWDED TRAMS Cr. W. Hill made emphatic protest at last night’s meeting of the Onehunga Borough Council, as to the invidious overcrowding of night trams travelling from the city to Onehunga, more particularly at the top of Symonds Street, Auckland. After long waiting residents of the borough were finally compelled to take the bus, which meant increased fares.

Other councillors relating personal experiences, supported the protest, and the town clerk was requested to lay the complaint before the City Council.
