SAMOA TO HAVE SELECT COMMITTEE
GOVERNMENT’S PLAN REPRESENTATIVE INQUIRY (THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON. To-day. FARLY in to-day's proceedings in the House of Representatives the Government will probably move to have established a Seiect Committee, representati ve of ail sides of the House, to inquire fully into the Samoan petition recently presented to Parliament. As there is feeling in official circles that this will be the most efficacious manner of dealing with the situation, the committee will be set up immediately. The Samoa Bill will be sent through committee stages and will later pass the third reading at this sitting. Imprest Supply, as well a_- the Rent Restriction Bill, must go through this week to be on the Statute Book by the end of the month. To-day’s debate will be a long one.
