ROUND THE CITY CLUBS PLAY AT MIDDLEMORE Two matches in the captain’s tourney were played at Middlemore on Saturday afternoon. Both proved exciting. as there was little between the players. The results were: R. O. Gardner (5) beat W. A. Phillips (15), 1 up. A. Boddington (7) and J. F. Brown (12), all square for the third time. SEMI-FINALS AT HUTT WELLINGTON, Sunday. The semi-final of the Winter Cup competition conducted by the Hutt Golf Club resulted:—H. H. Black (Hutt) beat his brother, J. L. Black (Hutt), 1 up; D. C. Collins (Wairarapa) beat Rana Wagg (Hutt), 1 up at the 20th. In the final H. H. Black beat Collins, 1 up.
