PONSONBY XIII DEFEATS ROTORUA BY EIGHT POINTS

It is becoming quite a habit with the League clubs in Auckland to send their senior teams away on tour to somo popular holiday resort, but they usually como home victors with colours flying.

Ponsonby played Rotorua at Rotorua on Saturday and were successful in defeating the representatives of geyser-land by 22 points to 15.

The game throughout was most strenuous. The Auckland team won by superior combination, and a more intimate knowledge of the finer points of the game.

The Rotorua plavers have greatly improved since they met Parnell two weeks ago, and during the latter part of the game on Saturday they were on the attack most of the time and were unfortunate in not scoring on one or two occasions.
