COLLISION WITH TRAM RAILWAY-CROSSING SMASH Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. The driver of the railway locomotive which collided with a crowded tramway trailer at the Colombo Street crossing on the morning of June 7, has been from the position of sec-ond-grade driver to first-grade fireman. The driver and fireman of the locomotive which was derailed at Timaru have been exonerated from blame.
