BUILDING WORKERS’ RISK BILL TO COMPEL INSURANCE {TIIB SUN'S Parliamentary Reporter .) WELLINGTON, Friday. The Building Trades Employees* Tools of Trade Insurance Bill was introduced into the House of Representatives to-day by Mr. P. Fraser, and read the first time. Tho Bill makes it compulsory for trade employers to insure the tools of their workmen. This is chiefly aimed at the prevention of loss by workmen of their tools in fires which occasionally occur, when buildings are in the process of erection or repair. The Bill provides compensation by insurance.
