OFFICIAL QUOTATIONS Under date July 16, the New Zealand High Commissioner in London cabled the following resume of the English markets: Tallow.—-Practically no demand aid no auction this week. Quotations nominally unchanged. Apples.—Market quiet. P*>rt Denison shipment arrived in good condition. Prices are as follow: Sturmer, 16s to 20s a case; Dougherty, Ballarat seedling. Rome Beauty, Dunn's Favourite and Cleopatra, 18s to 20s; Jonathan, 20s to 225; Statesman, 20s to 235. Honey.—Market quiet. Present quotations are: New Zealand, white, 75s to 85s; light amber, 67s 6d to 85s; medium amber, prime, 60s to 67s 6d; dark, 55s to 60s; J&maican, 30s to 50s; Haitian, 30s to 42s fid; Californian, 42s 6d to 50s; Cuban, 40s to 47s 6d. Hemp.—Manila market quiet but steady. "J” grade, July-September shipments quoted at £43 value. Sisal: Better demand and sales reported afloat. No. 1, £3B to £3B 10s. Tanganyika and Kenya: July-September shipments, No. 1, quoted at £3B, and No. 2 at £37, sellers. The New Zealand market continues quiet and values nominally are unchanged, shippers asking £36 for highpoints, but no business is reported at this price. Wool.—The sales continue to be well attended, with competition brisk. The opening rates are fully maintained for all descriptions, but holders’ firm limits are causing somewhat large withdrawals.
