SURPRISE PARTY

On Wednesday evening a surprise party, organised by Miss Isobel Small - bone, visited Miss Madge Hopwood at her parents’ residence, Shelly Beach Road, and spent an enjoyable evening in dancing and games. During the evening a toe dance was contributed by Miss Kitty Smallbone and a song by Miss I. Smallbone. Miss Madge Hopwood received the guests in a dainty frock of opal blue taffeta with georgette trimming. Mrs. Hopwood wore a handsome gown of black marocain with oriental embroidery. Miss I. Smallbone was in a frock of rose chiffon velvet trimmed with silver lace, and wore a rose shawl. Among the guests were: Mrs. Smallbone, in a crepe de chine gown of black and oriental toning. Mrs. Sands, wearing mauve crepe de chine anrl georgette. Mrs. Kirk, in a gown of black crepe de chine. Miss K. Smallbone, ashes of roses crepe de chine. Miss Sands, frock of gold shot taffeta and pink shawl. Miss McVeagh, apricot floral taffeta frock. Miss Thompson, moonlight blue crepe de chine. Miss C. Palmer, champagne lace frock. Miss M. Palmer, georgette frock in floral orange; shades. Miss Elsa Hopwood, vieux rose gown with black shawl. Miss Hyauiason, frock of peach brocaded satin. Miss Meealiam, black panne velvet frock. Miss Kirk, turquoise chiffon velvet frock. Miss Hill, black gown with apple green shawl. Miss Highland, black frock with dainty flame trimmings.
