ORANGE BLOSSOMS

LENNOX—POOLMAN A wedding that created wide interest in Te Awamutu was solemnised at the Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 6, between Miss Dora Poolman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Poolman, of Korakonui, and Mr. David N. Lennox, son of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Lennox, Ireland. The Rev. G. M. Roberts was the officiating clergyman. The church had been daintily decorated by friends of the bride with lycopodium, white heather, and other flowers, with touches of mauve, while two white wedding bells were suspended over the chancel. As the bridal party entered the church the “Wedding March’ ’ was played by Mrs. D. G. Maclean, of Mangapiko. The bride wore a charming gown of ivory crepe de chine, hand embroidered, with pearls, and an embroidered tulle veil, caught with the customary orange blossoms, also a pearl necklet. Her shower bouquet was of white flowers, with touches of pink. Miss Edna Broughton, of Wellington, attended as bridesmaid, wearing an early Victorian dress of mauve crepe de chine over pink underslip, with a dainty ochre lace vest, and a black crinoline hat, trimmed with ochre lace and velvet bows to tone. She carried a dainty bouquet of mauve and pink flowers. The flower-grl was little Nellie Poolman, sister of the bride, wearing a pretty eau de nil schappe silk frock, and carrying a basket of violets, primroses, and ferns. Mr. Arthur J. Poolman, brother of the bride, carried out the duties of best man. After the ceremony a reception was held, when the usual toasts *vere honoured, and later the happy couple left by train for Wellington, their future home. The bride’s travelling dress was a beautiful frock of bois de rose repp, embroidered with rose pink, with a white crepe de chine vest, a blue repp tailored coat, and smart felt nat to tone with the frock.
