Miss E. Carruth. of Whangarei, is staying at the Star Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. G. A. McMillan, of Auckland, are at the Star Hotel. At the Central Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. N. McAlister, from Dunedin. Among the guests at the Star Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Triggs, of Huapai. Mrs. R. Healey, of Sydney, is the guest of Mrs. G. H. Abel, Cotter’s Avenue, Remuera. Mrs. H. Henderson, of Wellington, is visiting Auckland and is the guest of Mrs. K. M. Graham, of Symonds Street. Mrs. M. Harrison, of Wanganui, \v% > has been staying in Auckland, has returned home. Mrs. Meredith and Miss Lulu Meredith have returned to Christchurch, after paying a visit to Auckland and Rotorua. Miss 1. Swanson has returned to Wellington after visiting Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Seymour and family, of Christchurch, have i*eturned from a trip round the Islands and are now the guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Fraser, of Mount Eden. Mrs. Seymour, provincial commissioner for Marlborough, who has left for England, will attend the international Guide camp to be held at Geneva in August and also a conference in Hungary. Mrs. Harry Weaver, the Deputy - Mayoress of Northcote, has been appointed president, of the Northcote branch of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children. The ladies of the St. Peter’s Church Guild, Takapuna, gave a large bridge party in the Gas Company’s room on Monday evening to benefit the forthcoming annual bazaar, when over 100 players were present. The winning scores were handed in by Mrs. Chisholm and Mr. Cutler. Mrs. M. E. Gibbons, of Cambridge, is a guest at the Commercial Hotel. ♦ * * Mrs. .T. McCormack and Miss E.
