THE INDIAN BRIGADE NO FURTHER WITHDRAWALS British Wireless —Press Assn.—Copyright RUGBY, Tuesday. With reference to the return to India from Shanghai of the troops of the Indian Brigade, the Minister for War stated in the House of Commonds to-day that no further withdrawal of British forces from Shanghai was contemplated at present. Since some increase in sickness unfortunately seemed likely during the hot weather, authority had been given for one battalion at a time to proceed to We-hai-wei, while it continued.— A. and N.Z.
