LOCAL BODIES’ LOANS PARLIAMENT’S FIRST TASK (THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter.') WELLINGTON, Friday. One of the first duties which the House will perform on Tuesday will be that of making provision for the borrowing of money by local bodies for unemployment. The Prime Minister stated in the House to-day that the Local Authorities Empowering Relief of Unemployment Bill would be dealt with immediately after the formal business ?.f Tuesday. This, he said, was a matter of urgency on account of there being no power at present for the Government to approve a loan to be raised by a local authority, present legislation expiring on June. 30.
After that the House will deal with the Imprest Supply Bill.
