MOTORIST STRIKES STATIONARY CAR

IMPACT BURSTS BENZINE TANK OIL CATCHES FIRE (From Our Oxen Correspondent.) HUXTLY, To-day. At 2.15 a.m. this morning a car driven by Mr. C. Grant crashed into a Durant car owned by Mr. Thos. Hart, of Huntjy, which was parked outside the Farmers’ Trading Company’s buildings. The force of the impact caused the benzine tank of Mr. Hart’s car to burst, and the liquid, running down the gutter, accidentally ignited. Prompt measures were adopted, and two outbreaks of fire were got under control. The Durant car was towed to a near-by garage considerably damaged.
