HENDERSON TOWN BOARD

The district telegraph engineer informed the Henderson Town Board at its meeting last night that the number of telephone subscribers in the district did not yet warrant the provision of an automatic service. As a result of the Railway Department’s refusal to erect a warning bell at Valley Road crossing an appeal is to be made to the Minister. A poll will be taken upon a proposal to raise a sum of £7,000 to provide a footpath on Great South Road from Grange Road to Lincoln Road. It was resolved to scarify and blind Te Atatu, Lincoln and Great South Roads as soon as the machine was available.
