Placed Spikes On the Railway Line

YOUTHS ADMIT CHARGE SENTENCE DEFERRED Press Association. GISBORNE, Friday. Two youths, John Henry Grayson and John Simpson, pleaded guilty in the Police Court to vagrancy and placing an obstruction on the railway line at Otoko. The lads, aged 1G and 18 respectively, came out with the crew of the lonic a year ago, and have been since roaming the country. Two weeks ago they left Wellington to tramp to Auckland. They admitted having placed spikes on the railway line at Otoko. These were placed at a dangerous curve, and had they not been discovered a serious accident might have resulted. The accused said they were desirous of getting a boat back Home. The magistrate deferred sentence.
