A REPENTANT REVELLER

PROHIBITS HIMSELF COURT ASSISTS HIM “I offered to take out an order against myself,” muttered Edward Hall, aged 52, a repentant knight of the bottle, from the dock at the Police Court yesterday when charged with being found drunk in Victoria Street, with making a nuisance of himself and further with using obscene language. Hall admited being drunk as is usual in such cases remembered nothing of the other matters. “Being drunk is no excuse for using filthy language.” commented Mr. McKean. S.M., sentencing the offender. On the charge of drunkenness Hail was convicted and prohibited for 12 months, and the other offences cost him a total of £4, or in default 14 days in Mt. Eden.
