AUCKLAND BRANCH The annual social gathering of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyers was held recently in Scots Hall. Papers were read by Messrs. Preston Chambers and E. T. K. Thompson, both dealing with the training and instruction of indentured cadets Mr. Preston Chambers stressed the necessity of the cadets to possess good physical health so as to enable them to cope with the arduous field work and adverse weather conditions. Musical and vocal items, contributed by members, occupied the remainder of the evening.
