DISTRICT RAILWAYS
The Tauranga Chamber of Commerce at its last meeting decided to support the petition for the construction of the Rotorua-Taupo railway, and in view of the near completion of the Tauranga-Waihi line, a celebration was proposed. A committee was set up to make the necessary arrangements.
