A NEW POST OFFICE

In reply to representations made by the Taumarunui Borough Council regarding the erection of a new post office for the rapidly-growing needs of the town, the Postmaster-General has advised the town clerk that the matter is at present being dealt with by the department, and it is hoped that if the necessary funds are available it will be possible to arrange for a start on the work this year. This matter was also recently placed before the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. R. F. Bollard, who admitted the urgency of it.
