HELP FOR THE UNFORTUNATE
“We can’t help men who have suffered the misfortunes of everyday life,” said Mr. V*. J. Larner, vice-president of the Auckland Patriotic Association yesterday. “One man wanted help because His horse had fallen into a creek and been drowned; and another man had lost his false teeth!” A suggestion had been made that the association should assist in their .business struggling “boys” who were up against men who had dug in during, the war years.
