WHEEL COMES OFF BUS

SHOP WINDOW SMASHED A motor-bus belonging to the Tourist Transport Company, while travelling from the city to Papatoetoe had a very curious accident on Monday the bus was turning into Mount Smart Road one front wheel came off and dashed through a plate glass window of Glover’s Grocery Stores. The glass was shattered and the mablework strained, but none of the stock was damaged. The bus ran for several yards on its axle before it could be pulled up. Nobody was injured. Insurance figures are not available.
