MANY FOR WELLINGTON < Special to THE SUE.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Good prices were realised at the sale of Captain Tahu Rhodes’s collection of pictures, offered for auction this morning. The main picture was van der Velden’s “Boys Weaving.” It was sold to Mr. D. Mac Cormack, Christchurch, for 100 guineas He also took the same artist s “Black and "White Crayon” for 9gns. All John Gully’s paintings will go to Wellington to Mr. J. Vaughan, at prices ranging from 13 to 21gns. Curabein’s “Spanish Scene” realised 29gns, and various Worsleys 15 to £6 gns. Practically the whole collection which numbered about 50 pictures, was sold.
