A BRIDGE PARTY
AN ENJOYABLE EVENING Mrs. H. Douglas, president of the Waikato Lyceum Club, recently, entertained the committee and their husbands to a bridge evening at her residence. A very pleasant time was spent, Mrs. Douglas doing everything for the enjoyment of her guests. At the end of the evening it was found that Mesdames F. Jolly, H. J. McMullin and M. Bell were the winners, while Mesdames Vere Chitty, M. Johnson and M. Bell gained the consolation prize. Mrs. H. Douglas received her guests in black satin frock with touches of Oriental silk, and Miss Douglas, who assisted her mother, was wearing a fr jck of ciel blue georgette. The guests were:—Mr. and Mrs. M. Bell, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. McMullin, Mr. and Mrs. Ramsay, Mr. and Mrs. R. Cranwell, Mr. and Mrs. Vere Chitty, Mr. and Mrs. Valder, Mr. and Mrs. Stevens. Mesdames H. T. Gillies, M. Johnson, F Jolly, Powell, Misses Eggleston, Stevens and Drake.
