A LOSS TO SPORT

Athletic sport in Auckland has lost an enthusiast in Mr. T. H. D. Crawford, whose funeral took place at Hillsborough Cemetery yesterday. He took a keen interest in the Ponsonby Amateur Swimming Club, and largely through his efforts the pupils of the Ponsonby schools enjoy free tuition in swimming. He had also been an official in the Rugby Union for many years.
