NELLIE BRAMLEY CO.
THE COMING SEASON Arrangements are now complete for the opening of the Nellie Bramley Coy. at His Majestys’ Theatre on Saturday night next, when the company embark on a season of 13 nights. During the season five plays will be produced, the opening production being “Paddy the Next Best Thing,” a play full of the romance and wit of Ould Ireland. This particular comedy gives Miss Bramley unlimited scope for her artistry, and can be seen a record and even a third time, and great enjoyment derived from its presentation. Miss Bramley has been fortunate in securing an admirable supporting company, and good as the previous one was with which Miss Bramley toured the Dominion some three years ago, the present organisation is infinitely better and contains several artists new to the Dominion, and of course some of the old favourites, including Mr. Robert Purdie, Mr. George Hewlitt, Mr. John Galway, Mr. William Raymond, Miss Marie D’Alton, Miss Millie Carleton and of the newcomers the principal ones are Mr. Brett Raiidall, specially imported from England for the parts he is cast for; Miss Eva Downey, another English actress, of outstanding ability; and Miss Mabel Gower, late of the Laurence Grossmith Companies, who has returned after a successful season in the production of “Lightnin’ ” in London. The plans open at Lewis Eady’s for the first five nights on Thursday next.
