OTAGO’S LAST CHANCE The possibilities of the Auckland University College establishing a course in nursing was before the College Council at its meeting yesterday. The Director-General of Health, Dr. T. H. A. Valintine, forwarded a copy of a letter which he had written to the Senate of the Otago University asking whether in view of the demand for a course for a diploma in nursing the Senate was prepared to review its decision and provide a course. The Hon. George Fowlds, presiding, said that Otago was being given a last chance of establishing a course which the Auckland College had been asked in the first place to establish.
