Great South Road.—ln conversation with Mr. Waters, chairman of the Manukau County Council, a SUN representative was informed that the 15 chains of concrete on the northern side of Wiri Bridge will be open for traffic on Friday next, and the balance of the county’s portion will be ready for use on May 18. This is the whole of the road open with the exception of nine chains by the Wiri Bridge, •hich has to settle.
