HENDERSON NOTES

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE Dr. Mildred Staley, speaking on the League of Nations at a recent meeting of the Henderson Women's Institute, stressed the woman’s part in inculcating the ideals of peace in the minds of the young. Her lecture, which was heard with keen interest by all the members present, was warmly applauded, and she was thanked by the chairman on behalf of the Institute. An interesting demonstration of knitting given by Mrs. J. Halliday, followed the lecture, and the afternoon concluded , with tea and a half-hour spent in informal discussion.
