FLOWER SHOW (From Our Own Correspondent.) The flower show organised by St. John’s Ladies’ Guild took place on Thursday and proved a great success. The exhibits, especially the chrysanthemums, were of a high class and compared favourably with those shown in larger towns. Exhibitions were present from Hamilton, Cambridge, and adjacent towns. CRIBBAGE CLUB The annual general meeting of members of the Te Awamutu Oribbage Club was held In the Oddfellow's Hail on Wednesday evening, when there was a good attendance of members. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. Trevor Hinton: vice-presidents, Messrs. A. J Nation, M. W. Muir, W. Swain, N. F. Goodall, S. H. Owen, W. Campbell, W. McCarthy, and W. Ryan; committee Messrs. W. Ryan, J. Pratt, E. Webber L. Marsh, Frank Hinton, Roy Hinton, and J. Ramsbottom; secretary and treasurer, Mr. M. J. Wheatley; delegates to tournament committee, Messrs Wheatley and L. Hinton.
The president intimated that he would present a gold medal to the player gaining most wins throughout the season.
