Eight people were killed and 31 injured in a charabanc accident in Lower Silesia. While the vehicle was ascending a steep slope, the driving-chain broke, and running backwards at terrific speed, th'e charabanc crashed into a bridge, and overturning in a rushing torrent buried 28 underneath, crushing some, while others were drowned The driver has not been seen, but it is believed that he escaped across the Czecho-Slovakian border. —Sun.
