BETTER PROSPECTS
REVIVING DEMAND "There is every reason to expect a revival of demand for our butter on the Home market,” said Mr. W. A. E Leonard, secretary of the Auckland Butter Factories’ Local Marketing Association when questioned regarding his association’s opinion as to future sales prospects. "Now that the policy of price-fixing nas been abandoned,” he continued, •’the British importers are apparently prepared to assist the New Zealand producer In quitting surplus stocks aud the fact that a meeting of all trades Interested in the position has been convened at Home for March 29 is a healthy sign. We should receive a fair indication of the importers’ attitude towards our butter from that meeting. The men at Home are apparently quite prepared to help us on an open market, but they are certainly opposed to any suggestion of control.
