■ ■ GERMAN FORCE CUT IN TWO. HALF SURRENDERS. OTHERS IN FULL FLIGHT. The High Commissioner reports:— London, December 1 (12.25 p.m.) General Smuts reports: In East Africa, the main German force was divided. One part was caught between converging British columns and driven northwards, and the remainder was forced to surrender north-east-wards of Neulangenburg. The remnants of General Wahl’s force is reduced to half by casualties, and Is making eastward for Mahenge.
