Wellington, October S. ; The Governor has received a telegram from the Secretary of Stata for the Colonies communicating the following telegram from General Sir Douglas Haig:— .' The New Zealand Division lias fought with the greatest gallantry in the Somme battle for twenty- ■ throe consecutive days, carrying out with complete success every task which it has been set, and always doing even more than was asked of it.
