Though the enemy positions are not as strong as those in northern France. Hindenburg has thrown against Russia all his main forces and nearly all his re, 'serves. Every yard is guarded and I must be fought for. We shall continue operations with unabated energy. The statement concludes: "There is hope of success in the Balkans at an early date." i A communique states that fighting continues at the Ccrfmkva and Zlota .Lipa rivers. The enemy attempted ,to recapture the ground. Four consecutive counter-attacks were repolled with heavy loss.
