(Received 9.35 a.m.) Washington, August 20.China has protested to Japan against sending two thousand troops to check the recent disturbance at Chengclffatung. China asserts that the trouble is due to bandits. Tho situation was discussed in the Japanese Cabinet but the Chinese Legation at Washington does not expect serious development.
