The Rhenisch, Weatphaelische Zeitung advocates 1 the shooting of Americans who are fighting for the Allies. The Lokal Anzieger says that Gcne- . ral Hindonburg’s extended commam was joyfully received by the whole of the German people, enhancing their confidence in the collapse of the Russian attacks on the east front. AUSTRIANS SLIGHTED BY a HINDENBURC. Published in “The Times.” Reiltet’s Telegrams (Received 9.5 a.m:) Copenhagen, August 4. Despatches from Vienna state that General Hindenburg’s appointment has enraged the Austrian military authorities. Three Budapest papers, adversely commenting on it, have been suppressed. It appears that General Hindonlmrg refused to appoint Austrians to his staff, insisting that a number if Germans should replace Austrian generals.
