In the Air
TWO OUT OF FOUR RETURN. Lit BADLY DAMAGED. Press Association—Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. London, August 3. .Only two Zeppelins were seen returning to Holland though four crossed. Amsterdam reports that Lll flew over the coast apparently damaged and improperly controlled. The coastguards fired a shot and the Lll disappeared westward with a heavy list. V The Zeppelin attacks on the eastern and south-eastern counties did not penetrate far inland, and, except at one point, the bombs were dropped in widely distant localities, mainly near the sea. In conjunction with this attack, two airships were seen to approach the Kent coast and drop bombs, but the damage was astonishingly small, only nine horses being killed. The military object of the raid is not apparent. A German communique says that a large number of naval airships attacked, with good results, London, naval base at Harwich, and industrial establishments at Norfolk. Though fiercely bombarded all returned unharmed. The Press Bureau declares the communique is not true from beginning to end. ;• ONE ZEPPELIN BADLY-s DAMAGED. v t Geneva, August 3. Two Zeppelins, one badly damaged, have arrived at Frcdrichshaven by special train. \
