PERSONAL.
Last week the Tariki Ladies' Patriotic League entertained Mrs Grossman (who is leaving for Inglewood), at afternoon tea and presented her with a silver teapot. The wedding took place at Wellington on Saturday last of Mr Sinclair Macalister, to Miss Constance Gibson, of Wellington. Mr Macalister, who is a well-known and popular solicitor of this town, is a Sergeant in the 17th Reinforcements at Trentham. The best wishes of his many friends will be with him in his new sphere of life. At Hawera, on Saturday, the members of the Ladies''Golf Club farewelled MrsGlasson at* afternoon tea, and presented her with a manicure sot. and expressed their, good wishes for Mr Classen's return from the war.. Mrs Glasson, who has now left for Wellington, was an enthusiastic member of the club, and for the last two years has acted as its secretary.
