Wellington, March 23. • After being detained at Wellington since last Friday, the Union Company's turbine steamer Maori left for L.vttclton at her usual time, 7.50 o'clock, last evening. The vacancies caused' through eleven firemen and five trimmers giving notice, and leaving the vessel last Friday, have been gradually tilled, until last evening the vessel was only one man short of her full complement. That difficulty, however, was overcome by some of the men arranging to do extra work to make up the deficiency in one watch. The Pateena, which has been acting ns a substitute for the Maori, re-en-tered her usual service and sailed at 9 o'clock last night for Nelson. The Mapnurika, winch has been taking the Pateona's running, sailed in her customary trade yesterday, leaving here at 2 p.m. for Creymouth via ports.
