SAVING THE SERBIANS. PRAISE FOR THE ALLIES. United Presb Association. ! Paris, February 11. M. Vesuitch, the Serbian Minister, in an interview, thanked France and the Allies for saving 150,000 men of the Serbian army. The activity of M. ißriand and General Joffre secured for J France the devotion of the Slavs and Wauls. Britain and Italy had participated in the marvellous operation of rescuing the Serbian army, and their 'activity had brought devotion above all praise. Everything was achieved without a hitch and silently. TRENCH WARFARE BEGINNING. London. February 11. M. Patris learns from a semi-official German source that the Gorman headquarters staff has decided to abandon the .attack on Salonika, and instead are resorting to trench warfare. German engineers have been sent to Macedonia for that purpose. .RUSSIAN COAL FOR ROUMANIA.
London, February 1.1. Bucharest reports that the Russians
are sending enormous quantities of coal to Roumania.
