Lord Kitchener and ,M; Balfour stated that groat develop'inents in the air-raid defence of London had been effected since September. Progress was not confined to the increase and organisation of anti-aircraft artillery, but was to be found also in the improved arrangements of the aeroplane defences. For the purpose of unity in control, the Admiralty’s responsibility is in process of transference to the War Office. | ENEMY ATTACKS REPULSED. The High Commissioner reports:— London, January 28 (7.5 a.m.) i Petrograd reports that south-west 'of Lake Naroth a German detachment was routed and prisoners taken. Repeated enemy attacks made on the Russian trenches north of Bojan were all repulsed.
