The German Humanity League asserts that the Kaiser categorically promised that the Pope’s temporal power shall be restored, anj a PajJbl State created in Palestine. ' Germany lias called up the medically unfit to join what is described as the “working service.”- ( Amsterdam, December 14. Advices from Berlin state that Germany has completed an enormous output of machine-guns for the defence of the entire Eastern front. Some estimate the number at 100,000, and ’‘large numbers have been supplied to the Bulgarians and the Turks. Vast quantities of ammunition for the machine-guns and rails have been sent to Turkey for Palestine.
The Frankfort University anounces that the professors have discovered o method of making synthetic rubber, which ig better than real rubber.
