It was cabled in Mr Lloyd George’s Bristol-speech on September 10th that “he wished the trade unionist/* would subject the Daily Mail to bombardment.” Lqrd Northcliffe ..requests a' correction of the message-according to j The Times’ report, which reads: “You! subjected the'Daily Mail to- bombard-: meat, .which shattered it.—(Laughter), j And you dropped high explosive bombs from the clouds on to the hard head of Lord Xorthdirte.—(Renewed laugh- 1 ter). And if there js anything left of him it simply means it is another proof that he somehow or another is in confederation with the Evil One.”— (Laughter). THE FINANCIAL MARKET. • (Received 10.30 a.m.). , London, November 23. The removal of the minimum applies only to stocks of Colonial corporations, not to Government stocks. There have been a fair number of dealings in Consols between 57 and 58, closing at about 57j. Australian corporation stocks' are practically unchanged by the removal of the. minimum.
