NEWFOUNDLAND REJECTS PROHIBITION. [United Pbesb Association.] (Received 9.26 a.m.) St. John's, November 9. In all the districts of Newfoundland so far it is reported that while the poll is far from complete, the indiea-' tiona are that the plebiscite held last Thursday on the question of the prohibition of the sale, manufacture, and importation of liquors on the island of Newfoundland has been defeated. The measure requires tweiity-rivb thousand of a clear majority to pass.
