WOUNDED SOLDIERS' FUND.

CONCERT AT NCAERE. The Ngaere Ladies’ Patriotic Committee held a very successful concert in the Ngaere Hall on Thursday evening in aid of the wounded soldiers’, fund the Argus). The pro|gramme, coutrihuted mainly hy Eljthain friends, included songs and mnsilealcal items hy Mrs Reed and the •Misses Reed of Eltham. Miss Mackay of Stratford, the Misses Tapp. Mackie and Hyndman, Rev. Dent, Sergeant- , Major Greager. Messrs Bnckeridge, Rohinson, bagpipe selection by Air Morrison. and recitations by Mr Parrott. Most of the items were patriotic and were enthusiastically encored. An .enjoyable dance followed, to music kindly supplied hy Miss Reed *and Messrs Parker, Walsh and G. Coleman.
