THE ROSENTHAL MURDER. United Press Association. (Received 8.10 a.m.) New York, July 30. Police-Lieutenant Becker was electrocuted lor the murder ol Rosenthal in 1012. Accused protested his innocence to the last. THE EASTLAND DISASTER. 'New York, July 20. At the Eastland inquest, the verdict named the head officials of the company, the captain, engineer, and the steamboat inspector as heiifg responsible lor the disaster. It is believed that the Eastland rested on the river bottom, owing to the steamer settling over when the crowd thronged on board. TYPHOON AT SHANGHAI. London, July 29. A typhoon at Shanghai did great damage. It is believed two thousand lives were lost.
