OUR WOUNDED AND MISSING. - * "'" Wellington, June 21. His Excellency the Governor cabled Lieutenant-General Maxwell. Officer Conmnding the troops in Egypt, asking if there was any truth in the rumour that there was insufficient hospital accommodation for the New Zealand wounded, and he received a reply stating there was ample accommodation, and to spare, and Unit the men receive full treatment. The Governor also cabled the Secretary of State lor the Colonies asking for information regarding those soldiers reported missing. Mr Bonar haw replied stating that the Turkish Government agreed to establish-an information Bureau, hut its proceedings appear to he slow. Particulars will he cabled as soon as received. COMFORT OF THE WOUNDED. Dunediri, June 20. In view of the circulation of rumors to the effect that our sick and wounded in Egypt are not being properly looked after, the Minister of Defence cabled to Egypt on Saturday. Replies were received yesterday by both the Governor and the Hon. James Allen of a most reassuring nature, stating that the men are visited regularly and all their wants receive careful attention.
