A meeting of representatives of the dairv companies and lue shareholders of the Wellington Farmers’ Bacon Co. was held to-day to discuss the formation of a new company to take over the business of the present bacon company, the idea being for the dairy companies to take up shares in the new concern on the basis of the annual output, similar to th e Eltham comipany. .Mr A. Eddie presided. The , meeting was addressed by Mr H. D. Forsyth, managing director of the South Taranaki Co-operative Bacon Company, and -Mr J. C. Cooper, managing director of the Wellington Farmers’ Meat Companay/ It was resolved that a company bo formed lor the purpose of acquiring the existing bacon works at Waingawa, and that a committee of nine draw up a prospectus to submit to the annual meeting of dairy companies.
